Peace and Calm

Updated: Jul 6, 2021

As the founder and CEO of I Will, Will You? I believe that if I can make a difference in one person’s life, I know that my story is worth telling. After of many years of observing and experiencing negative, hateful speech and harsh words. I decided that it was time to do something to make a difference. With these thoughts in mind and not wanting anyone to suffer at my hands what I went through, I Will, Will You? was started. My pain helps me to treat people better, than I have been treated.

I believe that we can all recognize when someone has been mistreated, but how many of us are willing to stand up to right the wrong? I decided to take the pain and suffering that I have gone through and turn it into something good. I wanted to make a difference and do something about the unjust way and pain that many of us have endured. There are some people that you just have to give a pass to. I know of several people like that, I actually sympathize with them. I can sympathize with them because I can see the brokenness in their actions and hear the pain their conversation. I give them a pass because if I behaved like them, then that takes away from the change that I want to make in this world. I was not always so forgiving but with maturity comes knowledge, understanding, forgiveness and patience.

Earlier this week someone sent me a scripture that I thought back on several times this week. The scripture is from the King James bible, Exodus 14:14 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold[a] your peace.” As I faced several challenges this week, I found myself repeating that scripture and, in the end, just having an unusual level of peace and calm. I will continue to treat people with the upmost act of kindness that is in me, I Will, Will You?
