When you have a bucket of options, you will find that what works for one person may not work for another person, because no standard has been established.
What are standards, why are they needed and how are they developed? Standards are personal choices that a person makes and chooses to live by. Standards are needed to set boundaries. Standards are developed by determining what works for one’s preferences and aligns with their beliefs. Not everyone lives by the same standards, because not everyone thinks the same. Your standards allow others to know what you will tolerate, believe and what you stand for.
If you don’t have clearly defined standards, you will stand for anything and with anyone. Without clearly defined standards you may end of falling for anything. You should always take a stand for what you believe in. It’s helpful to take a stand to help, support or encourage others in their plight.
Be someone that have standards that align with what the word of the lord has to say. It is written in 1 Peter 1:15-16 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” That passage of scripture provides guidance on how we should conduct ourselves being believers and followers of Christ, having and living by standards that honors our Lord. I Will, Will You?
