A few weeks ago, I was speaking with a friend that mentioned a young lady that they knew. My friend said the young lady walks around like she is better than other people. That comment caught my attention as I wanted to know what people that thought they were better than other people looked and act like. The response I got from my friend was not clear, they said she just does, so I kept prying.
My friend said that the young lady use to work in the adult entertainment business and now she can no longer work in that line of business because, she is older, and her body is not a fit as it use to be. According to my friend the young lady has to work in a more traditional line of work where the pay is not as lucrative as her previous profession. I proceeded to pry even more hoping to get a sensible response to the comment that was made.
I asked my friend if they were projecting their lack of confidence onto the young lady because they are expecting her to feel lowly about herself due to her past career choices. I proceeded to ask if they made that comment because they think lowly of her based on her past mistakes, lifestyle choices so they were expecting her to think less of herself as well. I shared with my friend that it appears to me that she has forgiven herself, she knows that she is still valuable and has worth that is far above rubies. I said that they should forgive her and see the new her as she has reclaimed her crown of rubies. I Will, Will You?
Proverbs 3:15-18 15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. 17 Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
