Being alone is defined by Webster Dictionary, as the state of having no one else present. Being alone can be a peaceful existence, but are you really alone? Have you ever had one of those days when it felt like you were under attack, an attack that came from various people and things, all in one day? The attack left you with the feeling that you were alone and there was no one there for you. The attack caused you to feel that you would crush under the pressure. Your mind told you that there was no one for you to reach out to, it was just you and your thoughts. It is possible to never be alone.
There are many things that can be done by an individual that appears to be done alone. Some like to pretend to sleep alone, eat, exercise, cook, watch movies, watch their favorite tv show, work, dance or just sit and think alone, but is that the true state of being alone? Doing various activities can be fun, or lonely it’s all in how you view the time spent doing those things. It’s a state of mind that you tell yourself how to feel about it. Scripture states in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. The scripture tells us that we are never alone, because he is an ever-present God, he will never leave nor forsake us.
If the word of the Lord is true and we believe that it is, then we are never alone. The Lord invites us to seek, trust him, converse with him, speak and he will hear those that reach out to him even when they feel like they are alone. I Will, Will You?
