There is an old wife’s tale that states what you don’t know can’t hurt you. The old wives’ tale would indicate that not knowing something or something that is hidden cannot hurt you. The statement is probably not entirely true but applies in some situations. Eventually over time you will be exposed to what was hidden and not known to you. You will be exposed because time is a revealer of all things hidden.
In case you didn’t know, not exploring the good that is hidden in you, may have the potential to hurt you. It may have the potential to hurt you because you don’t know who you are. Those good things hidden may have the ability to actually hurt or cause harm to you. Not knowing how valuable and important that you are, can be hurtful. You may not know how special you are. You may not know that you are worthy of love and respect. You may not know that hard times don’t always last. You may not know that you are special in the eyes of the Lord.
In case you didn’t know about the hidden things the scripture reads in Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light. For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. This scripture is a great reminder that the hiding of things is a waste of time, because it will eventually be exposed and brought out in the open.
In all situations even in the most secretive situations regardless of how deeply hidden will most definitely be exposed and has the potential to hurt you once it’s known. Keep your guard up, be prepared for the unknown, but remember the hidden things that you have embraced, the things that validates you are more important than anything else. I Will, Will You?
