The word crushing means to reduce an object to a compact size to flatten it. Crushing implies that something will be changed from its original size or to an unusable state. There are many things that can be crushed, and those things are crushed for different reasons. The process of crushing could also cause an object to become destroyed, demolished for no further use. To crush something means to destroy it and in some cases to be recycled for a different use.
When a car reaches the end of its life cycle, it’s often taken to the junk yard to be used as scrap for parts or crushed. Ice is crushed to make cold drinks and tasty frozen treats more enjoyable to eat. Aluminum cans are taken to the recycling center to be crushed for recycling. The crushed cans can then be recycled and used to make other products. People that have positive, upbeat and happy attitudes can be crushed when the wrong words are spoken to them, or negative actions are taken against them. Positive, upbeat, and happy attitudes are crushed when inconsiderate people find pleasure and feels a sense of joy when everyone around them are unhappy.
Whenever crushing occurs it is done to cause whatever is crushed to be destroyed. What type of person would believe that it would be a good idea to crush the spirit, of a person that has a positive, upbeat, and happy attitude? Be on the lookout, stand guard for an encounter with a person that takes pleasure in crushing the spirit of those around them. Remember that it’s not necessary to respond with the same negativity that will cause harm to another person. When you encounter the attack of crushing just remain peaceful.
When someone tries to crush your spirit, recall what is written in the bible about crushing. It reads in Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. So, when the attack of crushing lands at your feet just know that you don’t have to respond with the same negative reaction. Be prepared to return the gesture of crushing, with a smile and trust God at his word and know that he is with you. I Will, Will You?
