What does it mean to count? The purpose of counting is to include a group or individual set of items to arrive at a value that can be confirmed. There are various things that can be counted. A few of the things that are counted, includes hours, minutes seconds, people in attendance, sales for the year, candies in a jar, occurrences, scores in a game, a golf match, scores in a board game, dates, social media likes, friends, awards, money, anniversaries, and calories.
The same approach can be used when counting individuals. When counting individuals, it would mean to include others and acknowledge that they count too. Because you count, you should feel included, know that you matter, and that you count. You count enough to be treated fairly when it comes to life. Because you count you deserve to be treated with kindness, love, and respect. Because you count you should believe in yourself.
Because you count you are accepted and loved by Christ just as you are. Because you count, you have the ability stored within you to do what it takes to overcome adversity. Because you count the scripture reads in James 1:2-3 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. The scripture assures us that joy comes after going through issues and trials, that those issues and trials should be counted all joy. So, remember that when you go through issues that you may come out stronger than when you went in. I Will, Will You?
